Job summary Grey Gable Surgery is recruiting a part time Dispenser. 30 hours per week however job share would be considered. We are a small rural practice which prides itself on its friendly and caring ethos. The successful candidate will work as part of the dispensing team and will have suitable dispensing qualifications or be willing to undertake training. Main duties of the job The role is to provide efficient and accurate dispensing, stock control and record keeping. The ability to deal with patient queries in a professional, friendly and caring manner is essential. The successful candidate will be organised and self-motivated. Flexibility is essential in order to cover annual leave, absences and any additional hours required to meet the needs of the practice. About us We have a small dispensing team working together to dispense to our patients from Monday to Friday, 8am to 6.30pm. As a small practice we are lucky enough to be able to get to know our patients and we pride ourselves on providing an efficient and friendly service. The dispensers work closely with the GPs and Practice Pharmacist regarding medication queries and drug shortages. All our staff are friendly and approachable. The role is eligible for NHS Pension. Job responsibilities: To ensure that all medicines and appliances dispensed are checked against the prescription and whenever there is doubt about the appropriateness of the item, or about the dose or labelling instructions to check with the authorising doctor or duty doctor.
