My client is a leading international manufacturer in a safety critical industry. Due to a combination of a full order book and investment, they are looking to improve the efficiency of their Toolroom by appointing a dedicated Process Engineer to drive efficiencies.
Role Overview
As a Process Engineer (Toolroom), you will be concerned with making the Toolroom as efficient as possible. This might include projects based around:
1. Refining and improving existing processes / paperwork
2. Supplier rationalisation and re-negotiation
3. Production process improvement (e.g. better machines, more efficient tool paths, improving training for operatives, etc.)
4. Being a significant voice in wider site CI / NPI (for example SMED, 5Ys FMEA)
Qualifications
In order to thrive in the role of Process Engineer (Toolroom), you will need:
* A suitable engineering qualification (Mechanical, Toolroom, or Industrial)
* A passion for process improvement
* Relevant toolroom experience (Moulding, Pressing, Patternmaking, Casting, or similar)
