We're currently seeking a dedicated Packing Technician to support our sterile production line. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a similar environment, though no prior pharmaceutical experience is required. This role is shift-based, running from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend overtime paid at double time.
Safety
Main responsibilities
* Maintain safety awareness and highlight improvements within the packing function.
* Ensure housekeeping is always inspection-ready.
* Adhere to EHS mandatory training schedules.
Operations
* Operate and set up automated and semi-automated packing lines.
* Handle receipt of packing components and vials.
* Transfer products/materials into and out of cold storage.
* Collect data and ensure overall equipment effectiveness.
* Perform equipment/process fault finding and corrective actions.
* Ensure compliance with cGMP in all activities and documentation.
* Contribute to site Quality processes like CAPA, UE, and Change Control.
* Support site enterprise excellence initiatives.
* Undertake tasks across site manufacturing units as per training and experience.
Quality
* Complete batch/process documentation correctly and timely, including electronic records like SAP.
* Perform line clearance and cleaning of packing equipment and areas.
* Seek continuous improvement opportunities.
* Use enterprise excellence principles to collect relevant data for effective capacity utilization and minimizing downtime.
* Provide support, guidance, and training for new employees.
Customer
* Be flexible in response to internal support requirements and customer demand.
* Ensure internal and external customer requirements are met as per schedule adherence agreed with Supply Chain.
GMP / EHS Requirements
* Ensure all tasks comply with GMP requirements and communicate any noncompliance concerns to the Team Leader or equivalent.
* Work safely and comply with site EHS and Quality procedures at all times.
* Keep training up to date and documented by adhering to the training plan and maintaining personal training records.
Essential Requirements
* Experience in a packing discipline relating to automatic and semi-automatic hi-speed packing lines and associated sub systems/equipment.
* Experience in system automation and control in relation to alarm functionality and response.
* Ability to understand basic functionality of hi-speed complex packing equipment.
* Ability to work with computerised systems.
* Proven experience and capabilities in working within a manufacturing team environment.
Preferred Requirements
* Proven industrial experience in a packing/ similar discipline relating to automatic and semi-automatic hi-speed packing lines and associated sub systems/equipment (Preferred but not essential).
* Hands on experience in using of serialisation systems for pharmaceutical packed products (Preferred but not essential).
* Proven experience in the use of electronic systems e.g. SAP, Easidoc (Preferred).
