Salary: £60,000 - £65,000

Primary Responsibilities:
The Principal Marine Engineer will be responsible for the specification, design, and integration of primary onboard systems for my client's portfolio of vessels ranging from 2-20m. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Systems specification for primary onboard systems, including:
* Propulsion
* Bilge
* Fire
* Hydraulics
* HVAC
* Cable and piping routing in Siemens NX master GA
* Development and maintenance of primary equipment lists
* Creation of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
* Contribution to Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Bill of Materials (BOM)
Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
* Proven experience in maritime systems design and integration across the specified systems.
* Recent experience with Siemens NX for system modelling, including production information.
* Experience liaising with relevant regulatory bodies.
* Ability to collaborate with shipyard shop floor teams to implement design changes and updates.
Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
* Experience with 3D CAD modelling in Siemens NX.
* Knowledge of electrical design.
* Familiarity with Teamcenter PDM.
* Understanding of configuration control.
* Experience mentoring junior engineers.
