Commercial Sales and Customer Service Executive's opportunity with this aircraft maintenance organisation.
The "Line and AOG Commercial Executive" is responsible for managing customer enquiries, acting as the primary point of contact for Line and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) maintenance services, preparing competitive quotations, and driving sales. This role involves coordinating internal teams to ensure smooth execution of maintenance. You MUST have previous experience working with business jets.
The key purpose of this newly created role is to maximise sales opportunities in Line maintenance and AOG services.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
1. Customer Enquiries & Quotations:
Act as the single point of contact for all Line/AOG customers.
Respond promptly to customer enquiries, producing accurate and competitive quotations that include commercial, financial, and technical elements.
Engage with customers to answer queries, negotiate pricing, and secure discounts with senior management approval.
Provide regular updates to customers before, during, and after maintenance events.
Collaborate with internal teams (Technical Services, AOG/Line Maintenance, Engineering) to ensure any additional work requested by the customer is quoted and approved before proceeding.
2. Maximising Opportunities:
Work with the Line/AOG team to identify opportunities to support line and AOG maintenance swiftly.
Up-sell additional services during downtime.
Monitor live data on estimated versus actual hours worked and correct ambiguous bookings, ensuring customer approvals and maximising revenue.
3. Project Coordination:
Ensure organised handovers of quotations/work order authorisations to internal departments (Line Maintenance, Technical Services, etc.).
Participate in production and planning meetings and organise customer calls or meetings to ensure clear communication and project management.
Manage Work approvals and KYC forms with customers.
4. Sales Development:
Liaise with the Sales Department to provide any information or leads that can assist with business development.
Required Experience
1. Experience surrounding the maintenance of business jets, including line, base, engineering, and quality processes.
2. Demonstrated experience in a commercial or sales role ideally within the aviation sector.
3. Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
4. Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and financial tracking tools.
5. Strong attention to detail with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
6. Customer-focused with an understanding of urgency (e.g. AOG situations).
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
8. Proven experience with cost evaluation and ensuring accurate invoicing.
