Hours: Part-time - 25 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 9am-2:30pm.
Role Description:
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Purchasing Specialist in the management of supply of inventory items, helping to ensure that the right stock levels are in place to facilitate On Time In Full delivery performance to Nu-Heat’s customers.
Working closely with internal teams and Nu-Heat’s external suppliers, you will be responsible for accurate and timely communication of Nu-Heat inventory requirements to our Suppliers, and ensuring delivery of inventory items into Nu-Heat’s distribution centre.
The role requires the successful candidate to continuously identify, develop and implement improvements to ensure the highest levels of product and service are provided to our customers in the most efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
Stock Management
* Placing non-strategic purchase orders
* Ensuring purchase orders are acknowledged by suppliers
* Ensuring on time delivery and expediting where required
* Chasing overdue orders
* Processing customs clearance documentation for deliveries originating overseas
* Effective communication of product/supply/delivery issues to key stakeholders
Supplier Management
* Developing effective supply chain relationships
* Supporting the development of supplier management strategies
* Identifying risk in the supply chain
* Supply market research
Inventory Control
* Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies
* Supporting stock taking activity
Cost Management
* Identifying and delivering cost reduction/continuous improvement initiatives to ensure best value for money (lowest overall cost at best quality and service)
Invoice Query Resolution
* Assisting the Finance team with resolving supplier invoice queries
Purchasing Reporting
* Creating and producing reports on Purchasing activity including Purchasing KPIs, supplier performance and demand profiles/usage reports
Contribute to Company Development
* Identify personal development needs and undertake any necessary training
* Support the development of the Purchasing function within Nu-Heat
* Demonstrate Nu-Heat values in all that you do

Key Skills & Knowledge:
* Well organised and able to prioritise effectively
* Confident communicator (both written and verbal) and able to work well with a wide range of stakeholders
* Determined, with a positive attitude
* Interest in understanding the supply chain or an aptitude to learn
* Strong Microsoft Office skills (esp. Excel)
* Experience of using a CRM/ERP system would be an advantage
* Experience within a Purchasing/Planning/Procurement function (desirable)
* CIPS Level 2 (desirable)
