We are recruiting for a Paralegal to join our Property Litigation team in Manchester.
Your Role
As a Paralegal you will be responsible for the following
* Work with our property litigators across the UK advising on all aspects of commercial property disputes (more limited residential disputes) and estate management issues.
* Working with colleagues across the firm to support their service lines needing input from property litigation.
* To achieve the budgets set by the firm.
* To assist others in the achievement of their objectives and supervise more junior members of the team.
* To work so as to achieve the firm's business objectives.
* To participate in business development initiatives.
Your Skills and Experience

* You should have a law degree or have passed the law conversion course.
* Previous experience in a legal administration or paralegal role.
* No prior experience of property litigation is required although experience of either property or litigation would be beneficial
* A desire to learn and develop legal skills in the area of property litigation; what TLT does and what our clients do/how they work.
* Good eye for detail, good organisational skills and ability to 'juggle' a busy and varied workload.
* High standards of client service essential.
* Excellent communication skills - high volume of interaction via the telephone and good IT skills.

Your Team
The Property Litigation Team is one of the teams within the Real Estate Group comprising 3 partners in Manchester and Bristol and a team of solicitors and support staff. We also work closely with colleagues in our Belfast and Scottish offices. Mark Routley heads the team, delivering services (portfolio management, acquisitions/ disposals etc) property litigation services across a range of sectors including many household names such as the BBC, WH Smith and Greene King. We are recognised by Chambers and the Legal 500 as a leading property litigation team and Mark is recognised as a leader in his field.
We have a broad practice in property litigation, advising clients with expertise in the leisure, retail and financial services sectors on a wide variety of contentious matters. These include landlord and tenant disputes, rent reviews and lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and contractual disputes. We also give strategic advice on the management of property portfolios. We act for commercial landlords and tenants, public sector bodies and housing associations, property developers, investors, telecoms operators, financial institutions and insolvency practitioners.
