Our Head Office is in the world-famous village of Cheddar, and we have an Innovation Centre near Bristol in Flax Bourton where your role would be based. Although many of the team are based throughout the UK and Europe, we regularly get together to review performance, share best practices and socialise! The role will involve
Supporting the Development Team to deliver and develop new products and concepts to market with accountability around:
Supporting the introduction of new food-to-go products by ensuring production processes are scalable, efficient and safe
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to translate concepts into feasible operations for FSC customer site systems
Liaising, communicating and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders throughout the development launch process and beyond
Ensuring that related project documentation is accurate, up-to-date and consistent
Generate product labelling in compliance with relevant legislation to include proofreading from design to printing
Supporting continuous improvement by identifying innovative ideas and ingredient opportunities that maximise cost savings and enhance business efficiency.
Occasional travel to factory trials and/or product launches at various locations across the UK and Ireland, minimising food waste from trials and data capturing while in attendance.
The ideal candidate should:
Have a good understanding of system documentation or project management tools
Be able to support hosting customer visits, setting up product displays and other supporting actions
Understand and support the team to achieve their launch objectives by being adaptable to supporting tasks and system updates
Encourage taking positive steps to engage in discussions, opportunities and actions to minimise environmental impacts internally and externally to the benefit of all
Skills & Interests
High level of computer literacy
Excellent organisational skills and natural can-do attitude
Relishes working in a fast-paced environment in a hands-on capacity as a part of a team
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
A strong interest in food and awareness of market trend
Good attention to detail
Qualifications (academic and work-related)
BSc Food Science/Technology (or similar) OR experience working with NPD/Process Departments in admin support function
Valid driving licence
Experience
Experience within NPD/Process within FMCG
Experience of visiting/worked in several food manufacturing sites.
Knowledge of UK Food Legislation including Labelling and HACCP would be beneficial
