An exciting opportunity has arisen for 4 advanced nurse practitioners to join the Specialist Rehabilitation and Frailty Services. The specialist rehabilitation service based at Woodend hospital provides specialist care and rehabilitation to individuals who are recently recovering from a life altering condition or Injury. The inpatient units include stroke, neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation as well as vascular amputee and some elderly rehabilitation beds. The frailty service includes Ward 102 in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI) an acute admissions ward for older frail adults with step down Ward 304 and Rosewell House which also offers rehabilitation with the aim of enabling people to return home.
The successful candidate will join a team of ANP and NPs and will be required to rotate between the specialist rehabilitation and frailty units.
We are looking for individuals who are educated at Masters Level in advanced practice and who have been assessed as competent at this level. This level of practice is characterised by high levels of autonomous decision making, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment including prescribing, of patients with complex multi-dimensional problems. If unable to fully meet essential criteria, appointment as a trainee may be possible for those who are near to completing the post graduate diploma, candidates in this position would be expected to achieve the qualification.
This post is rotational and will involve night duty.
