Description
As the Maintenance and Projects Manager you will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing the maintenance of all facility equipment and infrastructure.
2. Developing and implementing maintenance plans and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
3. Scheduling and overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
4. Ensuring that maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
5. Managing the maintenance budget and optimising costs.
6. Planning, initiating, and overseeing industrial projects from conception to completion.
7. Developing project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management.
8. Creating detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
9. Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
10. Identifying and selecting contractors for specialised maintenance and project work.
11. Negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
Profile
A successful Maintenance & Project Manager should have:
1. A degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related field.
2. Demonstrable experience in maintenance management and project management roles within a manufacturing environment.
3. Strong understanding of maintenance processes, preventative maintenance strategies, and equipment reliability.
4. Proven experience managing capital projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
5. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to industrial maintenance.
6. Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing and developing teams.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
8. Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and with external contractors.
