The Role
We are seeking a Hospitality Quality Assurer to join our team on a part-time basis. This role involves ensuring that all hospitality and catering apprenticeships and qualifications meet the required quality standards. You will work closely with assessors, tutors, and external awarding bodies to maintain high standards of delivery, assessment, and learner progression.
Key Responsibilities
1. Monitor and maintain the quality of assessment and internal verification processes within hospitality programmes.
2. Support and mentor hospitality assessors to ensure consistency and best practice in assessment methods.
3. Conduct standardisation meetings and ensure compliance with awarding body requirements.
4. Work closely with employers and apprentices to ensure high-quality training and assessment in the workplace.
5. Assist in preparing for external audits and inspections, ensuring all assessment records are up to date and meet regulatory standards.
6. Provide feedback and guidance to ensure continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and assessment.
7. Ensure that all college and industry standards are met, supporting curriculum development where necessary.
Requirements
1. Relevant industry experience in the hospitality sector.
2. A recognised assessor and/or internal quality assurance qualification (e.g., TAQA, A1, V1, IQA).
3. Knowledge of current hospitality standards and apprenticeship frameworks.
4. Strong understanding of quality assurance processes in education and training.
5. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
