The Opportunity
Our Industrial Waste Services (IWS) division is the largest provider of specialised industrial solutions nationally. As a trusted partner to some of Australia’s largest organisations from a variety of sectors, you will play a key role in ensuring our fleet of heavy vehicles is effectively inspected and maintained to uphold safety and maximise equipment availability.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing a consistent approach to fleet maintenance
* Ensuring maintenance targets are met and corrective actions are completed on time
* Leading maintenance teams (internal & external) to implement a comprehensive maintenance plan
* Forecasting and planning to improve efficiency and productivity in the workshop
* Managing fleet repair and maintenance (R&M) budgets
* Negotiating with subcontract suppliers to optimise costs and service quality
About You:
* Experience in fleet asset management, particularly heavy vehicle maintenance (preferred)
* Strong ability to evaluate, select, and apply maintenance techniques
* Experience in developing and implementing preventative maintenance plans
* A background in planning to ensure efficient fleet operations
* Great communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers
* The ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environment
* Computer literacy to manage maintenance planning and reporting
