Main duties of the job Responsibilities will include: Supporting the Service Manager in Change Evaluation and Change Management activities to ensure impact of change requests are fully understood and planned for accordingly. Releasing and Deployment of new versions of software and coordination for underpinning technologies in relation to the IT Service. Providing support for Service Validation & Testing working with the business and Quality Assurance. The ownership of transition into ongoing run for new and existing services including Early Life Support for the business, Knowledge Management - documentation & training for the Service Desk and IT Operations, along with necessary updates to Asset & Configuration Management resource, e.g. CMDB, ICT Asset list, License Management. Planning and execution of IT Service Continuity Testing as directed by the Service Manager. You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice You may be required to participate in an on-call out of hours rota, which will include evenings, weekend or public holiday working About You Experience and Knowledge Knowledge and experience of service design and transition aspects of the IT Service Management lifecycle in a business facing IT role Experience of managing release of new software versions and changes to IT services Knowledge of IT best practice as stipulated by the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL). Understanding of relevant UK legislation e.g. General Data Protection Regulations, Freedom of information, and Computer Misuse Act Experience of presenting complex and contentious information to a large technical and/or non-technical audience Experience of indirectly leading and influencing teams of diverse individuals Experience of working with Information Technology using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Qualifications and Training ITIL Foundation qualification.
