About the role
As HR Assistant you will support the UK HR team, global HR teams and the Reward Analyst in various administrative and operational tasks to provide a smooth and efficient service. This is a permanent full-time position, however we would be open to considering part-time or reduced hours also. This is an on-site role and will require you to be at our Moodiesburn facility, which is located on the outskirts of Glasgow.
Responsibilities
1. Be the first point of contact for administrative HR enquiries, providing accurate and consistent information to employees and other stakeholders where possible and consulting with other members of the local or global HR teams for support where required.
2. Maintain HR and payroll systems to ensure all information is up to date and accurate whilst working within payroll deadlines.
3. Provide HR information and data analysis to the Reward Analyst and other stakeholders as required.
4. Accurately maintain HR/Training records, ensuring that the company complies with all legislative requirements.
5. Assist with recruitment campaigns and onboarding tasks including posting adverts on appropriate systems, processing applications, preparing contracts and offer letters and obtaining references and employment checks.
6. Work with the HR team and Reward Analyst to identify process improvements.
7. Support the Reward Analyst with the timely production of monthly reporting information.
8. Work with the Reward Analyst and HR teams to co-ordinate cyclical HR reward activities (e.g. salary reviews, bonus, payroll).
9. Support the delivery of the Moodiesburn site and global communication plans.
10. Work with the Reward Analyst and wider HR teams in the delivery of HR objectives and other ad-hoc tasks.
About you
Skills
1. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
2. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
3. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.
4. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word e.g. mail merge.
Knowledge
1. Working knowledge of HR systems and payroll.
2. The ability to analyse data accurately and efficiently.
3. A basic understanding of current employment law, HR best practice and its impact on HR processes.
Experience
1. Previous experience working in a busy HR department in an HR Administration or HR Assistant role.
2. Foundation membership of the CIPD or working towards would be advantageous.
