The company is now looking for a full time travel sales consultant / specialist to join the existing team to help the company grow to the next level. The role comes with significant personal and career development, as well as the opportunity for overseas travel to build on current knowledge, and forge new paths in travel. You will be the one point of contact for clients enquiring and booking tours with Travel The Unknown: the role is multi-faceted and will primarily focus on sales, but occasionally you will be expected to assist in other areas as required by the company (product updating and development). Key Responsibilities Convert enquiries to sales of high quality tailor-made itineraries and of existing group tours. You are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the creation and conversion to sale of high quality tailor-made itineraries and of existing group tours. Make the most of every single genuine 'sales enquiry' received. You need to be able to differentiate between good and bad leads to maximise use of time, as well as to maximise revenue and profit. Ensure the product sold to our clients and information provided is to the highest standard. Achieve high levels of client service at all stages of the process to engender repeat business. Take appropriate opportunities to up-sell relevant products where appropriate. Interact with clients by phone, email, and face-to-face (video calls and trade shows). Demonstrate a total commitment to customer service. Obtaining tour quotations and other required information or material from DMCs. Involvement in the development of TTU product portfolio. Requirements Essential Passionate about travel Experience of working with a tour operator Excellent attention to detail Strong communication skills Customer service & selling skills Multi-task efficiently Ability to set and work to deadlines Strong organisation & time management skills Computer literate: Word, Excel, Gmail, Google Docs Willing to contribute to other areas of the business when required Must be able to attend key trade shows or work events Commitment to good ethics and sustainable travel Desirable Experience / knowledge of key TTU destinations Qualified to degree level or equivalent Experience working with travel agents and other third party travel buyers Salary: £23,000-27,000 (dependent on experience) Bonuses: Commission payable on bookings Other information Location: Home-working with a move to hybrid Annual leave: 21 days leave plus bank holidays (additional days with longer service) Statutory pension scheme One overseas familiarisation trip (after 6 months service) ADZN1_UKTJ
