About us:
The Bread Factory is London’s leading Artisan Bakery, known for award-winning breads, pastries, and cakes, supplying top-quality products across e-commerce, grocery, food services, and retailers such as our GAIL’s Bakeries nationwide.
As our teams grow, we seek our next Dispatch Forklift Driver to join our team.
Every day is different at The Bread Factory, but here are some of the things you will be doing:
1. Making sure that the vehicle and unit doors are closed after pallets have been removed from the vehicle.
2. Splitting the pallet(s) and sorting crates so the crates for each route are grouped together and stacked on wheels.
3. Going to the freezer inside the unit to collect other frozen products that need to go out on these routes and putting them with the crates that have been taken of the vehicle.
4. Moving the stacks of frozen products to the driver collection area in the lobby.
5. Using a pallet pump truck to bring the correct ambient pallets for the routes from the main packing area to the driver collection area in the lobby.
6. Handing over the frozen crates and ambient products to the drivers when they arrive.
7. Communicating with the packing team leader to understand if any orders may not be ready on time and communicating this to the Yard Manager.
8. Working with the Yard Manager to manage any problematic situations, for example, a driver running late.
9. Together with the Yard Manager, ensuring that drivers do not enter any part of the building other than the designated lobby area.
10. Together with the Yard Manager, ensuring that all wheels used to move crates to the vehicles are returned to the unit.
11. Ensuring that the lobby area is clean and tidy and ready for the dispatch process.
12. Ensuring that there are sufficient wheels available for the dispatch process.
13. Ensuring that the lobby area is left clean and tidy.
14. All pallets and wheels are packed away correctly.
Our people tell us you will be a great addition to the team if you are…
1. Detail-oriented.
2. A team player.
3. Someone who takes pride in their work.
4. A problem solver who can think on your feet.
5. Holds a Full UK Driving License and a Forklift License - Counter Balance and Reach Truck.
