Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced professional to manage our high volume Post Office and to bring your extensive Post Office knowledge to develop the sales, income, customer service and to develop the colleagues into knowledgeable members of the team.
The knowledge of Horizon and the balancing of multiple stock units is a prerequisite of applying; due to the nature of the position, we cannot consider any application without the required knowledge.
Duties
* Manage, support and supervise the team, including effective scheduling to provide optimum cover to budget.
* Manage all back office requirements and balance all stock units as per Post Office trading periods.
* Manage cash and stock controls, keeping discrepancies to a minimum and providing detailed investigations where applicable.
* Manage the Post Office Operations Incentive.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a multiple stock unit, high customer volume Post Office.
* Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff members.
* Understanding of team development and succession planning.
* Good organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
* An understanding of what 'good' looks and sounds like.
* A knowledge of the area.
