Job summary In response to the all Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) report "No One's Listening" Barts Health will pilot an urgent emergency care bypass model. We are seeking to appoint an experienced, proactive, dynamic, motivated Sickle Cell specialist nurse who has management experience and an interest in service development. The successful applicant will be providing nursing leadership within a new service and will work alongside the emergency department and the haemoglinopathy service. The unit will provide triage, assessment, and care delivery to Sickle Cell patients who present to the Royal London Hospital Emergency Department. As such the role requires a high level of enthusiasm, drive, organisation and a willingness to learn. Barts Health NHS Trust has been designated as a Haemoglobinopathy Coordinating Centre for sickle cell disease, thalassaemia and other rare inherited anaemias. The Royal London Hospital is the host site within the Trust and this post, based at the Royal London provides an exciting opportunity to join the team.
