Job Title: Inpatient Rehab Occupational Therapist Banding : Band 6/7 Location : Brighton, West Sussex Working Hours: 37.5 per week Rate : Competitive, to be discussed upon application An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist to work for our NHS client based in Brighton, West Sussex. The post is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours for a short term contract. What will your responsibilities be? As an Inpatient Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist, your key responsibilities include assessing and providing therapeutic interventions to patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury in a hospital setting. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop personalised care plans aimed at improving patients' functional abilities and promoting independence in daily activities. This involves supporting patients with tasks such as mobility, self-care, and cognitive rehabilitation. You will also ensure safe discharge planning, including recommending appropriate home adaptations or community services. Additionally, you will maintain accurate patient records, contribute to clinical reviews, and support junior staff or students as needed, ensuring high standards of care and professional development. Qualifications and Experiences: Previous experience within inpatient settings Previous discharge planning and rehab experience Relevant degree/qualification in Occupational Therapy HCPC registration How to apply?
