About the Job As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Finance Manager with a variety of financial and administrative tasks. This position is ideal for someone detail-oriented, with a strong foundation in accounting and a proactive attitude. Duties will include: Managing the sales ledger, including credit control, generating manual invoices, and preparing debtor reports. Handling daily cashbook transactions, such as posting receipts and reconciling accounts. Assisting with the purchase ledger, supplier reconciliations, and payment runs. Supporting ledger activities, including credit card transactions and VAT reconciliations Preparing financial and operational reports Undertaking general administrative tasks and ad-hoc duties as required. About the Successful Applicant The ideal candidate will have at least two years of bookkeeping and accountancy experience, with AAT Level 2 or equivalent. Proficiency in Sage 200, intermediate/advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are essential. A logical, problem-solving mindset and strong communication skills are also required.
