Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is the operational name of Aneurin Bevan University Local Health Board. The Health Board was established on the 1st October 2009 and covers the areas of Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport, Torfaen and South Powys.

Job Overview
The South Monmouthshire Integrated Service Team works across the South of the County to enable people to remain independent in their own homes through the provision of community-based health and social care services.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Team lead occupational therapist to join the South Monmouthshire Integrated Services based at Chepstow community hospital.
As Lead Occupational Therapist, you will provide clinical and professional leadership to therapists within the Integrated Team, as well as being an integral part of the wider multidisciplinary service comprising Social Work, Physiotherapy, District nursing and our reablement service. You will be expected to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with a range of professionals and community organisations, in order to support individuals who access our service.
Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities

We support all staff with professional supervision, regular development reviews and training/development opportunities.
Occupational Therapy is a highly valued service within the health board and we are strongly committed to service development, standard setting, clinical effectiveness and lifelong learning. We are keen to recruit occupational therapists that are motivated to work in an occupational therapy service that is actively developing and changing to meet the needs of the people that we serve.
To work in the UK, all candidates who are not UK or Republic of Ireland (RoI) nationals require sponsorship to obtain either a Health and Care visa or a Skilled Worker visa unless you have permission to work via another route. Non UK / RoI candidates wishing to apply should self-assess the likelihood of obtaining a Certificate of Sponsorship.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service. Welsh language skills are desirable.

Essential criteria
* OT degree or diploma
* Member of HCPC
* At least 1 module (CQFW level 7 at 20/30 credits each) or post-registration equivalent linked to practice.
* Accredited practice placement educator
* Certificate in Leadership and/or Management or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
* Member of relevant COT Specialist Section.
Experience
Essential criteria
* Extensive experience in working within practice setting.
* Some experience of operational management
* Significant experience working at Senior OT level
* Significant experience of supervising less experienced OTs
* Involvement in innovative working practices
* Contributing to development of local clinical guidelines.
* Experience of leading a change in OT clinical practice.
