I am exclusively instructed with an excellent legal opportunity for a highly reputable construction business in the centre of Leeds.
My client is very keen to speak with any candidates who have experience working as a construction law paralegal or who have particular experience in advising on and negotiating appointment documents. The opportunity in question has arisen due to the pending retirement of a dedicated advisor who has created a whole suite of precedents and advisory documentation to assist whoever steps into this role.
Due to the nature of my client's business, candidates will need to have a good understanding of construction law with a particular emphasis on JCT building contracts along with having the ability to advise on insurance policy compatibility and commercial acceptability.
The role would report into highly experienced directors within the business and it is important to note that this is a stand-alone legal role within my client's organisation with the successful candidate being able to rely on the many years of experience that directors and others within the business have in addition to use of the bank of precedent/research documents available.
My client is happy to consider candidates who are looking for full-time employment but will equally look at anyone who might be looking to work 3 days a week as there is flexibility on working arrangements for anyone with the level of experience required.
Although this role does not necessarily require a qualified lawyer to perform the duties, my client would also be equally willing to consider any experienced non-contentious construction lawyers who might be looking to take a step back in their career / move into a part-time in-house advisory role.
