To oversee Finance developments, including SUS, PbR, SLAM and HRG groupers. To play a lead role in the development of business intelligence reports to meet the aims of the Business Intelligence Strategy and the needs of the organisation. Take an instigative role in ensuring that wherever practical and appropriate the Data Warehouse is developed to enable greater and wider use of data / information for Business Intelligence and SLR. This will involve working closely with other developers to ensure co-ordination of developments on the data warehouse. Work with users to resolve problems and issues with Business Intelligence software. Aid in the provision of timely and quality assured Monthly Management Information and statutory Korner returns to Management, Department of Health and external agencies. To be aware of national developments within the NHS wider Business Intelligence community. To develop reporting integration solutions between multiple operational systems using the SQL. Assist when required to ensure the timely completion of mandatory returns for the Department of Health. Autonomy to act upon, implement and advise where appropriate on new Data Set Change Notices (DSCN) issued by the Department of Health. Research and recommend innovation, and where possible automated approaches for systems including BI. Supervisory responsibilities over junior members in the team Participate in the use of Trusts reporting tools and to develop an EIS for the Trusts Management Staff & train potential users. Liaison with external agencies to identify and meet their Information requirements. To assist with adding content to and maintaining the online Business Intelligence system. Ensure all departmental documentation is kept up to date as possible. Support the Trusts Committee structure with its information requirements. Participate at the Trusts Information management Groups as required and play a key role in the resolution of information issues raised there. Database design & support to meet users information needs outside of standard Trust systems. Maintain awareness of national & local IM&T strategies. Participate in own personal development review and undertake own professional development.
