The Childcare Club Worthing LTD is recruiting Playworkers for our busy Breakfast clubs and After School clubs at our 7 Worthing, Shoreham and Upper Beeding sites.
7.30 - 9.00am Breakfast Club Monday to Friday
2.30 - 6.00pm After School Club Monday to Friday
7.5 to 25 hours per week
Term time only (with the option to work during holiday periods)

We are looking for a talented Playworker for Breakfast and After School Clubs in the Worthing and Shoreham areas.

The Playworker role include supervising the children, ensuring their safety at all times, engaging with them in aspects of play and conversation, setting up activities for children to optionally take part in, meet and greet parents and provide them with feedback on their child’s time at the club.
Candidates for the opportunity must be enthusiastic, honest, reliable, hardworking and most importantly willing to have fun and enjoy working with children. You will be fully supported in your role by an established provider of out of school care. In addition to excellent rates of pay, this company also invest in staff training and development.

Job duties:
1. To work as part of a team to promote a welcoming environment for children and their families.
2. Observe children at play and provide stimulating activities that are drawn from these observations and knowledge of the children’s likes and dislikes.
3. Planning and preparation of a programme of activities, involving the children that attend at every stage, using observations and encouraging children to contribute as much as they can.
4. Leading activities and clearing away of activities at the end of each session.
5. Have an overall view of Health and Safety and Risk Assessment at all times.
6. Providing full care for the children including: collection of children from school clubs and the safe delivery to parents and/or named carers.
7. To undertake relevant training as deemed necessary.
8. To ensure the safe use of the club`s property and equipment.
9. Administering First Aid as appropriate.
10. To record and inform parents of any accidents or incidents relating to their children that have occurred during a session.
11. Work as a keyworker with the under 5’s and children with individual needs, observe and record information for their keyworker file / scrapbooks.
12. Report back to the manager with keyworker information and update work colleagues with appropriate information.
13. Initiating close liason with parents, schools and other childcare and play related agencies.
14. Attending meetings as appropriate.
15. Liasing with the manager and / or producing reports where necessary.
16. Carrying out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities framework.

18. Any other duties as required.
