Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Pay Rate: £90.00 per day
Location: Wolverhampton
Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm
Smart Education is currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Wolverhampton, working with children aged 3 to 11 years with Special Educational Needs (SEN). As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping children overcome learning barriers, build confidence, and achieve their potential. You will work closely with teachers and SENCOs, providing tailored support to pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other additional needs. Your role will include:
Assisting with learning activities in the classroom, ensuring all pupils are engaged and supported
Providing one-to-one and small group interventions to help students with their academic and social development
Supporting emotional and behavioural needs, creating a safe and positive learning environment
Encouraging independence and confidence, helping pupils to develop essential life skills

What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school setting
A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting children
Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with teachers and support staff
A valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
