An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contracts Manager to join our Research Contracts Team to support academic researchers and postgraduate research students to undertake high quality research and to use the findings of this research for economic and social benefit. We are looking for someone who: Has experience working with contracts or other legal agreements in any work setting. Is an effective communicator, able to provide tailored advice and guidance on contracts. Can develop a good sense of the bigger picture with any project, identifying and focusing on key risks in any agreement. Collaborates, exploring opportunities to develop positive relationships or process improvements beyond their immediate work area. Is eager to learn, understand and expand on existing experience. Can support a small team to prioritise work aligned with the needs of service users. The position is in a friendly and supportive team, we learn from any issues that arise and challenge ourselves to make sure that our services are flexible and remain fit-for-purpose as things change. We apply a pragmatic, solutions focused approach to negotiate over 3000 contracts a year across a diverse range of projects.
