Are you passionate about making a tangible impact locally and changing the lives of vulnerable young people? Roundabout is looking for an Upstream Manager to support homeless young people aged 16-25 in Sheffield.
About the role
Building on the success of work in Australia and Wales, Roundabout is delighted to bring the Upstream Service to Sheffield! This is an exciting new schools-based service for Roundabout!
As an Upstream Project Worker, you will be part of an innovative team dedicated to preventing youth homelessness before it happens. Roundabout’s experience of supporting homeless young people has shown us that the roots of young people’s problems begin long before they arrive at our door post-16. This is why we are increasing our focus on preventing youth homelessness by identifying and supporting young people at an earlier stage.
You will work closely with participating secondary schools to complete the Upstream survey with students. You will be working 1-1 with the students who are identifying as being most at risk of becoming homeless in the future, delivering family mediation and wellbeing support. By addressing the underlying factors that put young people at risk, you will help them develop resilience, build positive relationships, and access support services if needed.
This exciting opportunity will enable you to play an integral part in shaping the delivery of this innovative project and ensure better outcomes for young people in future.
Please ensure that all areas of the Role Specification are addressed in your application. Alternatively, you can contact recruitment@roundaboutltd.org
Please note, CVs will not be accepted.
The closing date for receipt of completed applications will be Monday 20th January 2025. Interviews will be held Tuesday 28th January 2025. Roundabout Ltd is committed to actively valuing diversity and encouraging equal opportunities for all and welcomes applications from all sections of the community, particularly those currently underrepresented.
