What you'll be doing day to day
1. Monitoring performance in terms of budgets, time and expenses; reviewing working papers for accuracy and completeness; and delivering quality accounts and tax compliance services with minimal Partner input
2. Providing routine tax, accounting and general commercial advice to clients
3. Resolving accounting and tax problems as they arise
4. Ensuring that working papers, financial statements, tax returns and client files are prepared in accordance with the firm’s accepted standards
5. Continue the development of long-term professional relationships by communicating progress, problems, resolutions, financial information, tax activity and other business concerns to the client
6. Review with the engagement Partner significant findings that raise questions involving tax implications and possible tax planning opportunities
7. Identifying opportunities to sell additional services to existing clients
About you
8. ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) or qualified by experience, with significant relevant experience in a similar role
9. Experience of managing a portfolio of clients and assisting partners in maintaining client relationships
10. Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance
11. Proven background supervising a team of accounts staff
12. Organised, accurate, flexible and able to plan use of time efficiently
13. Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with both clients, team members and colleagues, with the aptitude to quickly build rapport
14. Excellent written and oral communication skills
