GSL Education Hull are seeking a passionate and energetic Male Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our dynamic team at a co-educational secondary school. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a love for physical activity, promote healthy lifestyles, and achieve their best in sports.
As a Physical Education (PE) Teacher, you will primarily train and teach students in Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), fostering a love for learning and critical thinking.
Physical Education (PE) Teacher Key Roles:
* Teach a variety of sports and physical activities, ensuring students develop skills and techniques across different disciplines.
* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging PE lessons that cater to a range of abilities and promote physical fitness.
* Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support where needed.
* Organise and supervise extracurricular sports activities, including coaching school sports teams.
* Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive attitudes towards physical activity.
* Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the holistic development of students.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of students during physical activities by following health and safety guidelines.
* Manage sports equipment and facilities, ensuring they are safe, well-maintained, and available for use.
Physical Education (PE) Teacher Requirements:
* A QTS/QTLS/PGCE in Physical Education.
* Previous experience of teaching and training secondary students.
* Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 PE curriculum.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to continuous professional development.
* An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to have one processed immediately.
