Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in fabrication and a proven track record of supervising and leading welding operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Welding & Plating team, planning production and manning, and ensuring compliance with industry standards while maintaining the highest level of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, organise and execute the work within welding, fabrication and production teams.
* Manage workflow, allocate and monitor tasks to the team to meet production schedules and achieve required levels of performance and productivity.
* Work with other area supervisors to ensure product flow and operational completeness.
* Oversee, check and challenge bookings and run-times to achieve the required levels of performance and productivity.
* Complete site welding quality records and traceability for consumables, materials and plant items.
* Complete daily welder audits for manual and automatic processes.
* Oversee welding consumable control, stock levels and welding stores.
* Assist the Quality team in preventative and corrective actions regarding welding defects and processes.
* Ensure site leadership for the deployment of welding operations and welding performance.
* Ensure that all operators under their supervision carry out tasks in a safe manner free of risk to all members of the workforce.
Qualifications:
* At least 2 years in a supervisor role in a production environment.
* Strong technical background in welding/fabrication with knowledge of techniques and equipment.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Full Apprenticeship in relevant trade or NVQ 3 or equivalent in Welding or equivalent experience.
* NDT experience desirable.
* CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 desirable.

Hours of Work:
We offer a variety of shift patterns including:
* Standard Dayshift: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm, Friday 7:30am to 1:30pm
* Rotating Shifts:
* Dayshift: Monday to Thursday 6:00am to 2:30pm, Friday 6:00am to 12:00pm
* Nightshift: Monday to Thursday 6:00pm to 3:30am
