General Overview:
The primary purpose of the role is to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of Electrical Buildings Services Engineering plant, ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the contracted output specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that routine PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) is carried out to electrical plant in accordance with Site task and CAFM (Computer Aided Facilities Management).
2. Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and proactively highlight areas for improvement.
3. Swiftly remedy plant faults and defects to maintain plant in serviceable order.
4. Ensure suitable spares are available for maintenance and reactive works, providing parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial works.
5. Complete all relevant paperwork/CAFM regarding PPM, reactive, and breakdown works, passing it without delay to the contract administrator.
6. Utilize Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.
7. Provide a Safe and Healthy working environment, including the wearing of uniform and PPE.
8. Maintain up-to-date plant logs.
9. Supervise and monitor sub-contractors' works while on site undertaking maintenance.
10. Arrange and provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in working patterns, delivering 40 hours per week between 07:00-19:00.
11. Undertake lone working when required, subject to passing satisfactory training.
12. Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed as appropriate.
13. Maintain awareness and compliance with contractual KPI's/SLA's.
14. Keep the CAFM system, e.g., Movaliser, up to date and ensure PPM and reactive tickets are closed out with accurate data captured.
15. Carry out any other tasks as directed by the Management team.
The position will require you to provide engineering support in emergency situations to ensure business and operational continuity.
Client / Customer Responsibilities:
1. Respond in a timely manner to verbal and written requests ensuring CAFM is updated.
2. Coordinate quotations with the Area Facilities Manager and Technical Supervisor.
3. Produce information for quotations.
Complexity:
The successful candidate will have the ability to fault find, diagnose, and rectify both Electrical and Mechanical faults and issues unaided.
Qualifications or Required Experience:
4 years experience in a similar role and/or relevant qualifications such as: Electrical Installation part 1, 2, and 3, 18th Edition, test and inspect. Desirable: L8 experience.
