Job Details Position: Part-Time Teaching Assistant - Three days a week Days: Monday to Wednesday Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm Location: South Sheffield Key Stage: KS1 (Key Stage 1) About the Role In this rewarding role, you will provide one-to-one support for a child in Key Stage 1 with additional needs, including ASD and autism. Your primary focus will be to encourage and enhance the child's verbal skills, promote engagement in classroom activities, and support their learning journey in a positive and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities Supporting the child's learning and development under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO. Encouraging verbal communication and promoting social interaction. Assisting the child in accessing the curriculum and participating in activities. Implementing strategies to support the child's specific needs, including sensory and emotional needs. Building a trusting and supportive relationship with the child to foster their confidence and independence.
