Head of Facilities

A position has arisen for a Permanent Head of Facilities within an established organisation situated in Oxfordshire. This role is responsible for all FM operations across multiple buildings.
Your duties will include:
1. Managing all hard and soft facilities for the five sites
2. Overseeing all aspects of equipment maintenance and repair, including receiving and handling calls and complaints
3. Negotiating and managing services contracts
4. Contributing to the development and implementation of the Department’s space strategy
5. Developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans and business continuation strategies
6. Liaising with external contractors and suppliers including those for construction, building services engineering, cleaning contracts, waste management, security, and relocation companies
The successful candidate should have:
1. Educated to degree level in a building service or engineering subject and/or an equivalent professional qualification
2. Significant experience of successfully line managing technical managers and supervisors responsible for a wide range of hard and soft services, desirably within lab environments
3. Ability to demonstrate significant understanding of the technical infrastructure, including HVAC and BMS
4. Experience of setting and managing operational budgets over £1 million
