The surgery is based in an incredible new state-of-the-art building, complete with wellbeing garden, café, library and break-out area and a staff room which is the real social hub of the practice. Location – Maidstone (South)
Your role –
This is a unique and interesting role, that will be well suited to a GP with a special interest in care of the elderly. This GP will lead the small home visiting team of Paramedics and Pharmacists, ensuring the best care is delivered to the residents of 1 Nursing Home and 3 Care Homes, totalling 100 beds. This GP will also audit and manage home visiting requests and ensure the most appropriate clinician is assigned – either yourself, Paramedic or Pharmacist.
The role will involve liaising with the Clinical and Management teams in the Homes, assessing prescribing needs for the residents and prioritising their comfort and care.
The role will not have a standard GP clinic in practice, however, if all visits and ward rounds have been done, you could help the team by signing prescriptions and manage pathology results.
No duty doctor, no extended hours.
* 5 sessions (this can be a job share – 3 sessions + 2 sessions)
* Flexible hours, circa 10:00am-2:30/3:00pm
