Job summary The Welsh Blood Service (WBS) strives to be a research active organisation, where researchers are supported to perform high quality healthcare research. WBS is developing a more corporate approach to Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I), focusing on collaborative research, with proactive support for researchers, a better research infrastructure with clearer governance and management processes. The RD&I Officer will assist and support all aspects of research and development activity within the Welsh Blood Service, they will help implement WBS's RD&I strategy and embed RD&I activity into the service. The post holder will provide high-level administration and logistical support for the RD&I function. Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible for the administration of the RD&I process. They will support both the research office and the researcher in the development and facilitation of research activity. Working alongside staff and researchers they will help set up projects, address feasibility issues and ensuring that studies are able to be approved and set up in a timely manner. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
