We are seeking a dedicated Legal Practice Support Assistant to join our Practice Support Team. In this role, you will provide essential support to allocated fee earners, including solicitors and legal assistants, across various areas such as Child Protection, Community Care, Employment, and Privacy and Governance. You will be integral in facilitating the efficient operation of our legal services and ensuring that administrative tasks are handled with precision and professionalism. Manage file openings and closures, ensuring compliance checks are conducted. Create and update court bundles, preparing and dispatching them forhearings via postal and secure email (E-gress). Arrange meetings and appointments, maintain electronic diaries, and handle communication with social workers, external solicitors, expert witnesses, and court staff. Utilize the Case Management System (Peppermint) for document input and manage incoming post. Obtain counsel’s availability and fees for hearings. Handle invoices and ensure appropriate documentation and authorization. Requirements Educated to a minimum of GCSE standard (4 graded A-C), including English. Prior administration experience Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while using initiative and maintaining a proactive approach. A keen interest in learning legal practices and new areas of law. Flexibility and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
