Position Overview:
Engenda is seeking a trainee CAD Designer / Laser scanner to join our thriving CAD team in our Runcorn technical engineering office at The Heath. The successful candidate will be trained and mentored over time within our CAD and design teams, to develop drawings and designs in line with the needs of our design engineers. They will also be trained and eventually be responsible for 3D laser scanning of various sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Use of laser scanning equipment on site.
* Post scanning data processing and modelling.
* Use of CAD software to develop drawings and 3D models designs as part of the wider team.
* Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
Requirements:
* Full UK Driving license (Manual)
* Able to occasionally stay overnight as required by surveys
* Good ICT skills including MS Office, any previous CAD experience would also be beneficial.
* Any previous experience in engineering, CAD use, surveying, laser scanning is beneficial but not essential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you will be working with lots of other people and teams at various levels.
* A positive mindset – we can teach you everything you need in order to do this job, but you must want to learn and develop and be able to speak up for yourself.
