We are currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager, based within our Land Reclamation division (Civils, Highways, Utilities, Infrastructure etc.) to assume overall responsibility for multiple construction projects with a value of circa £5m.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 7 in Civil Engineering qualification, have strong people management and communication skills, with the ability to lead, support, and motivate a team effectively. They will possess a solid technical and construction background, combined with commercial and contractual awareness, ensuring projects are managed efficiently and to a high standard.
Well-organised and proactive in forward planning, they can anticipate potential issues and develop practical solutions. They will demonstrate strong analytical skills and a common-sense approach to operational challenges, maintaining a professional image while focusing on quality and customer service.
Proficiency in IT systems, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic programming, is essential. A true team player, the candidate will balance leadership with collaboration, ensuring successful project delivery.
Previous experience within civils, highways and/or utilities would be highly advantageous.
The role of a Contracts Manager at The Casey Group
Management & Delivery
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Support business plans, produce reports, and conduct regular site visits.
Oversee resource use, client relations, and team performance.
Manage the full construction process from pre-construction to completion.
Health & Safety
Develop and enforce Health & Safety plans, ensuring compliance and best practices.
Conduct audits, analyse trends, and support continuous improvement.
Planning & Pre-Contract
Convert tender programmes into construction schedules and monitor progress.
Oversee consultant and supply chain appointments, supporting bid processes.
Staffing
Build, develop, and retain a skilled team, addressing performance and recruitment needs.
Commercial Awareness
Control financial aspects, monitor costs, and drive value engineering and efficiency.

What do you receive in return?
Financial
Salary between £68,000 - £73,000 depending on experience
Car Allowance of £5,500 per annum
Pension Scheme - We contribute 2.5% more than the employee's pension contribution, up to a maximum of 7.5% (e.g. employee puts 5% in, Casey puts 7.5% in)
