About the Role:
As GRAHAM's Civils Estimator for NI Water projects, you'll play a pivotal role in our Civil Engineering Division's growth. We're seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, and dynamic professional to join our team. Reporting to the Estimating Manager (Civil Engineering), you'll be responsible for preparing estimates, requiring technical competence in civil engineering methods. Your proactive approach and dedication will be essential in meeting departmental targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Co-ordinate with the Civils Estimating Manager to outline key dates for the estimate process.
2. Ensure tender documents are thoroughly reviewed for completeness.
3. Prepare and manage enquiries for materials and sub-contracts.
4. Conduct necessary site visits as part of the estimating process.
5. Coordinate with the Project Manager and Designer on pricing issues.
6. Evaluate project risks and opportunities, presenting tenders for adjudication.
7. Utilise Estimating software effectively (training provided).
Desired Skills and Experience:
Essential:
1. Understanding of the civil engineering market
2. Communication skills
3. Experience in presenting tenders for adjudication and assessing project risks
Desirable:
1. Knowledge of supply chain dynamics and construction programmes
2. Experience of working within the Water industry sector
3. Construction related third level qualification
4. Experience of using Estimating software
