Job Title: Security Administration Officer\nLocation: Onsite at Reading\nRemuneration: £140/day\nContract Details: Temporary (26th May 2025 - 30th June 2025)\n\nResponsibilities:\nJoin our dynamic team as a Security Administration Officer and play a crucial role in supporting a secure facility for various governmental entities. Your responsibilities will include:\n\nProcessing BPSS and SC vetting applications, assisting the Vetting Manager.\nExecuting security-related administrative duties to support Security Controllers.\nActing as the Security Subject Matter Expert for facility users and visitors.\nManaging group mailboxes for vetting and secure facility operations.\nEnsuring the legitimate and secure use of the facility.\nEscorting contractors for facility maintenance.\nStaying updated on security issues within the defence industry.\nParticipating in monthly reviews with Security Controllers.\nProviding office cover for another Security team as needed.\nAssisting with security audits and reviews.\n\nKey Success Criteria:\nTo thrive in this role, you should possess:\n\nThe ability to gain SC clearance.\nProactive problem-solving skills to enhance team efficiency.\nProfessional interaction skills with all personnel levels.\nFamiliarity with security risk management principles.\nA self-motivated and detail-oriented approach to tasks.\nA strong ability to work within a team and build effective relationships.\nHigh-level interpersonal skills and adaptability to diverse work styles.\nTrustworthiness in handling confidential information.\nProficiency in MS O365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Teams, and Excel.\n\nEssential Skills:\n\nExperience in business administration.\nGood working knowledge of MS Office, especially Outlook and Teams.\nStrong communication skills.\n\nDesirable Knowledge:\n\nFamiliarity with the Defence Sector and UK National Vetting System.\n\nPersonal Attributes:\nWe're looking for candidates with:\n\nIntegrity in business and security dealings.\nA flexible, self-motivated, and goal-oriented approach.\nA focus on compliance and attention to detail.\nA commitment to providing excellent customer experience.\n\nQualifications:\n\nYou will be required to undergo a Baseline Check to BPSS Government standards.\nUK Security Clearance (SC or above) is necessary for this role. This can be applied for or transferred if already held.\n\nAdditional Details:\n\nWe seek a confident, proactive individual who can work independently and assist with ad-hoc tasks.\nStrong administrative skills are a must!
