The Growth Company’s (GC) Employment team have an exciting new opportunity for a Compliance Officer on our Creating Future Opportunities (CFO) Evolution Programme within our Activity Hub. The Compliance Officer will facilitate contractual compliance through methodical and procedural validation of evidence, systems and data relating to claims and performance submissions and ensure risk is mitigated through adherence to programme guidance and rules.

Our highly skilled advisers and keyworkers work with a range of individuals; from people who have found themselves recently out of work, to those with complex barriers such as physical disabilities, mental ill-health and debt.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Use bespoke electronic system(s) daily to audit all evidence relating to participant and employer data.
2. Check and assure that evidence is compliant with contractual and regulatory requirements prior to submission to funding body and approve financial and performance claims.
3. Work within strict data security protocols and ensure adherence to GDPR at all times and suggest remedial action for non-compliance.
4. Support with preparation and facilitation of various audits (internal / external / quality assurance).
5. Respond to queries by various mediums such as phone, Skype, messaging, email in a clear and articulate manner.
6. Ensure confidentiality and professionalism are kept at all times, leading by example.
7. Liaise with internal and external partners as appropriate using various forms of communication.
8. Work to daily, weekly and monthly targets and deadlines.
9. Raise payments and purchase orders using internal financial systems.
10. Communicate with internal finance department systems and processes.
About You:
1. A warm, approachable style to delivery is required in order to build relationships and rapport.
2. Organisational and multi-tasking skills to effectively balance time and priorities.
3. Well-developed IT skills, including an understanding of computerised management information systems, spreadsheets, diary management and email.
4. Ability to accurately disseminate information in a clear concise manner.
5. Must have a methodical approach and an ‘eye for detail’.
6. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Skills Required:
1. Knowledge of Compliance and audit functions, Risk assessment.
2. Administrative systems and processes.
3. History of working in a compliance role or similar position with comparable duties and responsibilities.
4. Experience of working on publicly funded contracts within the Employment, Justice, or Skills sectors.
5. Ability to work to challenging targets and key performance indicators.
6. Flexible approach to work including willingness to travel where required.
7. The ability to work under pressure in a highly performance-driven environment.
8. Must have strong interpersonal skills to deal with customers, colleagues, and partners.
9. Willingness to undertake training as required.
