For the successful Purchase Ledger Assistant, our client is offering:
* Salary up to £25,000 per annum
* Monday to Friday 8.30am till 5.00pm
The role - Purchase Ledger Assistant:
* Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and correct coding to the ledger.
* Match purchase orders to invoices and resolve discrepancies.
* Assist in maintaining the purchase ledger system, ensuring all data is up to date.
* Respond to supplier queries promptly and professionally.
* Monitor accounts payable inbox and handle incoming correspondence.
* Additional administration duties as instructed by the line manager.
What our client is looking for in a Purchase Ledger Assistant:
* Previous experience in a similar purchase ledger/accounts payable role.
* Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, SAP) and Microsoft Excel - DESIRABLE.
* Strong numerical skills and attention to detail - ESSENTIAL.
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Able to cope under pressure.
