What you’ll do:
Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality Ballet and Jazz dance lessons.
Choreograph and direct performances, showcases, and examination pieces.
Support full time dance and MT students in developing technical and expressive skills.
Provide guidance on performance techniques, fitness, and safe dance practice.
Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback.
Lead an area of course management and act as a tutor for UAL Musical Theatre students.
Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to extracurricular activities, such as dance clubs and productions.
Who we’re looking for:
Essential:
A Dance Degree with training at a conservatoire or university.
Experience teaching Ballet and Jazz across different age groups and abilities.
Strong choreography skills with experience directing performances.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for dance education and inspiring students.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
Desirable:
A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) or significant teaching experience.
Experience teaching in a college or further education setting.
Industry experience as a professional dancer or choreographer.
Knowledge of UAL Diploma/Extended Diploma Performing Arts
Ballet RAD Grade 8/Intermediate or Advanced qualification.
First aid or safeguarding training.
