This position is in Cargill's agricultural supply chain business, which partners with farmers and customers to source, make, and deliver essential products.
Job Purpose and Impact
This is a full-time, days-based permanent role at our sites in Liverpool (L20).
Cargill's crush plants and refineries in Liverpool develop products for food (e.g., catering), biodiesel, and animal feed. The Seaforth and Brocklebank refineries process crude vegetable oils further for food chain and technical uses.
The Maintenance Technician will perform complex maintenance and troubleshooting on production or warehouse machinery, utilizing in-depth knowledge of trades or multiple trades, and perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance to ensure assets are maintained for optimal facility effectiveness.
Key Accountabilities
* Utilize maintenance and reliability practices independently to ensure all assets are maintained safely and effectively, prolonging equipment life.
* Complete preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility.
* Operate multiple standard maintenance tools such as power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and maintenance technology tools.
* Apply knowledge of trades such as electrical, welding, pipefitting, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
* Modify equipment by reading electrical or mechanical schematics, blueprints, and operation manuals.
* Document work performed and conditions found using maintenance computer software, and communicate regularly with peers and management to improve operations.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
* HNC/HND or equivalent qualifications.
* Time-served apprenticeship with relevant experience.
* Mechanical & Pipefitter/Welder qualifications.
