It is The Holman Way We have an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a Platform Designer / Solution Architect to join our growing IT Team at Holman UK. The role will be based at our HQ in Chippenham. Ideally for the first 1-2 weeks you’ll need to spend some time in the office at least 5 days a week before you move over to our hybrid model of Tuesday – Thursday in the office whilst working from home on a Monday and Friday, so please bear this in mind when applying. This is a permanent opportunity and we are looking to pay between £75,000 - £85,000 depending on experience. Key Responsibilities will include: Providing solution design and architectural governance during delivery for large and small projects, and changes, for customer and partner systems requirements and integrations Document solutions that will support proposed offerings, project plans, timelines, business case documentation and development tasks Create and deliver online and in person training and awareness sessions for customer facing systems for existing and prospective customers Assist in the development and maintenance of customer facing roadmaps Assist the Marketing team with technical writing for the creation of Requests For Proposal (RFP) responses, press releases and sell sheets Work on complex customer implementation projects with non-standard IT requirements Maintain knowledge and awareness of Fleet and IT related industry news and trends / technologies in order to develop relevant and innovative solutions Work closely with the Business Analysts, Developers, design, marketing and other relevant teams Participate in the selection of new technology vendors to assess potential solutions against requirements, architecture principles & standards. Collaborate closely with Holman peers in other geographies to agree, define and implement strategic approaches to solution standards / technology roadmaps What are we looking for? Ideally, you’ll have 5 years experience as a solution architect / designer; designing technical solutions and related processes in fleet / automotive industry. Exceptional skills and proven experience working within a technical IT architecture role within a time-sensitive customer facing environment Extensive knowledge and experience within own function and general knowledge of areas, departments and/or function(s) within and across other disciplines Exceptional skills and proven experience in working face-to-face with a range of customers, suppliers and colleagues Experience in partnering with both technical and non-technical cross functional teams to meet needs of the customer Good working knowledge of modern Cloud environments, Azure, ADO, DevSecOps, database architectures, IT SDLC, fleet management toolsets, mobile app development (IOS & Android), API architectures, data architecture and SQL, data analytics and reporting and emerging technology trends. Education and / or training Computer Science, Engineering or similar degree or equivalent experience Formal training and / or qualifications in the following areas: TOGAF, Agile SCRUM, SAFE, SDLC, Prince 2/PMP, BPMN, Business Analysis, CX, ITIL or similar Proficient in various collaboration tools including MS Office Programs (i.e., Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.); ADO and Monday.com.
