About Us Our Boys2Men programme improves lives and outcomes of young men involved in or on the cusp of criminality and have come to the attention of local agencies. The programme enables young men to understand the transition from childhood to adulthood, exploring the impact of role models—both positive and negative—within family and peer groups, including gangs, on their development. It challenges young men to reflect on how their behaviour affects their own lives and those around them, while providing a safe and supportive space for reflection and personal growth. About The Role As a Project Facilitator, you will lead and implement our Boys2Men programme, delivering it to young men aged 15–27 years old within Feltham Young Offenders Institution. You will work in partnership with prison teams, adhering to the secure setting’s protocols and aligning with the prison regime to ensure seamless integration of the programme. Through 1-2-1s, group sessions, and workshops, you will inspire and support young men to develop essential life skills, emotional intelligence, and leadership abilities. By collaborating with prison staff and other stakeholders, you will create a structured and supportive environment that fosters self-awareness and personal growth among the participants. Additionally, you will help young men reflect on their behaviour, make positive choices, and work towards improved outcomes for themselves and their families. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for tailoring the programme content to align with its goals and objectives, while ensuring it meets the unique needs of a secure setting. Your role will involve proactive collaboration to deliver impactful and meaningful interventions that transform lives. About You Most importantly, you are an individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young people, especially those within a secure setting. You have the experience and passion required for this exciting role that truly has the potential to transform lives. You also bring experience and an understanding of the transition into male adulthood, working with boys and young men to support their growth and development during this critical stage of life. While a qualification in youth, youth justice, community or family support work is desirable, we are primarily looking for someone with experience working with children and young people facing challenges. Experience working in a custodial environment or similar secure settings would be an advantage. Your practice-based experience has given you knowledge of working within legislation relating to young people and your self-motivation to adapt and learn, has seen you deliver quality outcomes. Your approachable, confident and persuasive nature has demonstrated your ability to engage and connect with young people by supporting them through active listening, empathy and dependability.
