An emerging technology consultancy company that specializes in providing bespoke solutions to clients across the UK. They are looking to expand their cyber security division coming into 2024 to join an existing team of more than 200 consultants. Known for their prestigious in-house training schemes, this is the perfect role for any aspiring cyber security consultant.
The Role:
As a cyber security consultant, you will have the opportunity to provide support to a wide range of high-profile UK public sector and defence organisations. Your help will enable them to protect their ICT investments, and in doing so play a key role in nationally critical projects which make a real difference to people’s everyday lives.
Throughout the project life-cycle, you’ll have the chance to take on diverse roles, engaging with a broad spectrum of clients and staying at the forefront of technological advancements. Your responsibilities may involve offering advice and guidance on information assurance topics, actively contributing to the evolution of IA strategies, policies, and awareness, managing the execution of security work programs, outlining security requirements, crafting and implementing security architectures, and supervising the secure development and accreditation of information systems.
You’ll play a key role in creating top-notch, formal deliverables and assessing those produced by others. As a client-side adviser, your position will require extensive engagement with stakeholders, directly interacting with clients to address daily challenges in project delivery and explore future opportunities. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills are crucial for success in this role.
Essential Responsibilities:

* Impressive academic background, most likely STEM related from a reputable University
* Experience working within the cyber security landscape and with complex ICT systems
* Capable of working in a client-facing environment; strong communication skills
* Good understanding of enterprise information and communications technology
* Enterprise security packages, security enforcing software and devices, such as identity management and federation, cryptography, public key infrastructure, firewalls, SIEM, vulnerability scanning, etc.
Desirable Qualifications:

* Structured security frameworks, such as HMG SPF and ISO27001
* Security, technical and enterprise architecture methods such as TOGAF and SABSA
* Technical risk assessments
* Software development and delivery
