With a proud history dating back over 140 years, we have transformed into a research-intensive university with a clear social mobility mission to unlock potential and change lives, receiving national recognition as the Times Higher Education University of the Year (2022) and Modern University of the Year (2025).
Central to this success is Newcastle Business School (NBS), a leader in research, education, and industry engagement.
As the first Business School in Europe to achieve dual AACSB accreditation for Business and Accounting, Newcastle Business School (NBS) positions itself as a catalyst for regional and global progress, providing impactful research, immersive learning experiences, and progressive business partnerships that drive change. Our research led to outstanding REF 2021 results, with NBS achieving the 4th largest Business and Management submission in the UK and a sector-leading rise in Research Power.
To support our ambitious Strategy 2030, we are expanding and seeking outstanding academics across all Business disciplines to join us in our transition to a unified Business School structure from September 2025.
We are looking for Professors and Associate Professors who are ambitious, passionate about driving innovation and research, have a strong track record, and are able to contribute impactful world-leading/internationally excellent publications, along with current or future plans for Funding Council funding and applications. To continue your academic success with us, you will also be passionate educators, dedicated to delivering an exceptional student experience and embedding sustainability and responsibility in business education, and collegial leaders, eager to mentor and support early career researchers and contribute to our thriving academic community.
Successful candidates may also be considered for appointment as a Vice Chancellors Fellow, joining a cohort of exceptional academics at all academic career stages, who are provided with additional generous workload allocation and specific support and development to help them achieve their research ambitions.
