The apprenticeship involves:\n\nAttending Inchinnan college on block release and completing course work as required. Youâll graduate with an SVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance.\nWorking alongside engineers in the workshop and out on site\nCarrying out PDIâs on new machines\nCarrying out repairs to second-hand machines\nBuilding up experience over 4 years to work towards working from your own van\nAdhering to company policies and procedures\nWorking flexibly to support the needs of our customers, including Saturdays\n\nYouâll learn how to:\n\nRepair and maintain machines on customers sites as required with manufacturers specification\nCarry out inspections and repairs of machines at our depot as required\nIdentify any deficiency or defect likely to affect the safe working of a machine, and raise this with your supervisor\nComplete job cards and time sheets\nOrder parts for the jobs you are working on\nBuild relationships with your supervisor and other engineers The ideal candidate will have:\n\nGenuine interest in construction machinery and hands on work\nQualifications in Maths, English and a practical subject\nThe motivation to engage with college and complete portfolio work on time\nThe ability to work well with others and be confident enough to ask engineers questions\nGood interpersonal skills and a good understanding of the importance of excellent customer service\nGood computer skills\nA positive and can-do attitude\nA flexible approach to learning and work
