Grimshaw (London), an award-winning, global architecture practice, located in Farringdon, are looking for an experienced, ‘Business Intelligence Lead’ to join the team.
The role will involve taking a strategic, hands-on view of reporting across Grimshaws global practice. The ideal candidate will be a technical Qlik Cloud specialist with at least 5 years’ experience in a senior BI role. The position will require engagement with the Grimshaw leadership team, heads of department and service providers to ensure that reports, data driven systems and workflows are functioning effectively. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on candidate to work alongside a small business systems team to drive a culture of continuous improvement and commercial awareness. The core principles of the position are to drive business growth, profitability, efficiency and productivity through gap analysis and data analytics using modern technology.

Key aspects of the role:
* In-depth understanding of database design, data management, automation, alerts and notifications via Qlik Cloud, including SQL based data modelling.
* Produce analytical reports to benchmark compliance, set targets and monitor trends related to our systems and financial data.
* Blend data from different solutions via APIs and other integration-based processes.
* Consultation with stakeholders to define the strategic roadmap for developing BI related objectives in conjunction with business aspirations, as well as setting KPIs for performance monitoring.
* Automate and/or create ad hoc reports for executive communications and trend analysis.
* Identify anomalous data. Examine and eliminate any processes or procedures that contribute to unreliable data being collected.
* Work closely with department heads to improve data integrity and ensure that data collection is highly secure and robust.
* Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of Grimshaw technology and business processes by identifying opportunities to optimise workflows and implement managed change.
* Provide BI training/coaching when required and become a power user of data-based technologies.
* Ensure that Grimshaw systems are secure, user friendly and workflows are well documented.
* Implement safeguards to ensure personal and confidential data is secured, limited to authorised individuals.
* Establish good relationships with third party vendors and Grimshaw service providers.
Skills & Competencies
* Extensive knowledge of Qlik Cloud mandatory.
* On Premise versions of Qlik or Power BI an advantage.
* Well-rounded understanding of enterprise systems architecture; HRIS, CRM, Finance systems and workflows.
* Implementation of API integration, use of Postman, SQL queries/coding, managing large databases inc. advanced Excel skills.
* Good understanding of finance processes and terminology. Excellent mathematical skills and statistical analysis.
* Highly organised, with a proven ability to achieve strategic objectives.
* Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical staff.
* Logical thinking and problem-solving skills
* Responsible, confident and highly motivated.
